Service transition (ST) is one of the modules which comes under the category of ITIL® Intermediate. This course ensures that new, modified or retired services meet the expectations of business as documented in the service strategy and service design stages of the life cycle. It also ensures that all services are built, tested and deployed in a controlled and repeatable manner using a methodology that consists of ensuring that we deliver the value. The techniques taught in the Service transition module could help to set customer expectations on the new or changed services enabling business change. Service transition helps to plan and manage the resources needed to successfully establish new and changed service into production. This course is worth 3 credits towards an ITIL expert qualification.
